The unique topic the book discusses and the research and analysis methodologies the author implemented to present his findings. The Council named the winning book “a remarkable addition” to the Sufism studies, and the larger knowledge base of the different Islamic movements and sects.
About the Winner :
Dr. Ammar Ali Hassan holds a Masters in Political Sciences and PHD degree with honors. He worked as a researcher at the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research in Abu Dhabi, and the Center for Political and International Development Studies. Currently, he oversees a research project that seeks to entrench national cultural integration in various Arab countries, and participates in a new Heritage Revival Project, sponsored Alexandria Library. He has many published books, and he received the story short prize in a contest organized by the Egyptian Newspaper “Literature News/Akhbar Aladab” in 1994. He received the Story and War Award, which was organized by the same newspaper in collaboration with the Egyptian Armed Forces Moral Affairs Department in 1995, and the Award of Merit from the International League of Islamic Literature in short story the Association literature Islamic in 1992.
