The Administrative Office of the Award receives the Participating books, nominations and then conducts a high- level selection of the candidates who meet the conditions.

The Advisory Council assigns a selection committee for each Award Category. Each committee consists of 3-5 members enjoying experience and efficiency in the category under selection.

The Selection Committee members shall be kept anonymous and their meetings shall be held in secrecy throughout the session.

The Regulations, issued by the Advisory Council define the duties and meetings of the selection Committees and the deadline of their activities.

The Advisory council may cancel the award in case the Selection Committees decide that the presented works have failed to meet the required standards.

The Higher Committee may accept, reject or amend any decision issued by the advisory Council if for deemed inconsistent with the Award objectives.

The Award Advisory Council receives the final results concluded by the Selection Committees and approves them before being endorsed by the Higher Committee in March of every year.

The names of the winners are announced at the outset of the activities of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair.

The Award Distribution Ceremony will be held during the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair.

New dates for announcing the winners or the Award distribution ceremony may be set in case the originally pre- set dates could not be met due to force majeure.

No member of the Advisory Council of either Selection Committee may nominate to the Award Category he/she was in charge of selection unless three complete sessions have clasped as of the date of relinquishing his/ her membership.

The Higher Committee has the right to cancel or add an award category if it deems that such an action can realize the desired objectives.

No candidate shall challenge the do either decision taken by the Award Advisory council.

The works that participated but failed to win any category award shall not be returned to their corresponding candidates/ rather, they will be deposited in the National Library of the Cultural Foundation.

Members of the Advisory Council, as well as their geographical origins shall be replaced in whole each three years and shall be changed by one- third per annum.
