Dr. Mohamed Ali Ahmad, winner of SZBA for The
Children's Literature, expressed his happiness for the bestowal of
honors upon him that culminate his creative and scholarly career. He
confirmed that, "The Sheikh Zayed Book Award and H.H Sheikh Mohamed
Bin Zayed's call lay the foundation for a grand Arab cultural and
intellectual renaissance across the Arab countries. It is an open
and serious call to pursue reading, authorship and creativity in all
domains of knowledge." Mr. M. A. Ahmad concluded with stressing the
additional responsibilities to be shouldered by the honored winners,
"The Award should stimulate the Arab elite to promote their
contributions to their own societies which expect a lot of
achievements form them."
